Useful Links
The web seems filled to the brim with whisky links but we feel duty-bound to offer some useful ones in keeping with the spirit of Classic Expressions.
- Neil Wilson Publishing
This is Neil's trade publishing company and there are a lot of useful books on Scotland, many of them on whisky or whisky related matters. To drill down directly to the whisky books click on the menu list on the left of the home page. - WhiskyTasting.co.uk
If you're a corporate client looking for a great whisky tasting experience then visit this site. Ian (and some of his whisky chums) offer a one-stop shop for a memorable event, with some of the best and most knowlegeable presenters around. - World Whiskies Conference 2008
Home page for the World Whiskies Conference. Ian's claim to corporate credibility. - www.whisky-pages.co.uk
Gavin Smith edits this lively whisky blog, with all the latest news and whisky reviews. Late News: Dateline 29.10.06: Ooo er, missus, he's just given us a big plug at www.whisky-pages.com/stories/classic.htm - www.whiskyfun.com
The site for true amateurs of whisky (in the sense that Sherlock Holmes and Lord Peter Wimsey were amateur detectives). Great reviews (not least Dr Nick's music reviews - when does the man find the time?) and an improbably large tasting archive. Proprietor Serge Valentin was good enough to become an early Founding Subscriber (impeccable taste) and post a link for us, so what could we do but return the compliment? Set aside a morning if you venture into his site! - www.dtcscotch.com
Duncan Taylor is arguably Scotland's leading independent bottler with a large range of expressions as well as a plethora of industry awards for excellence. Their MD, Euan Shand is a Founding Subscriber and is clearly a man of impeccable vision, discernment and taste so we are more than happy to urge you to check out this excellent site. (Will that do Euan?) - www.whisky101.com
A great resource for whisky links and a comprehensive blog from the good people at www.thescotchblog.com. Which you should also check out, by the way. - www.lfw.co.uk If you don't know Loch Fyne Whiskies you should. Brilliant mail order service from opionated (but well informed) website. Try to visit the shop (yes, we know it's miles away) and engage in friendly banter with the obliging proprietor as you experience his unique approach to customer service.
- www.whiskywords.co.uk. Well worth checking this out for great whisky books.
